Managing director

Ahlberg Metalltechnik GmbH is an owner-managed, medium-sized Berlin-based company
which Mario Ahlberg founded in November 2004.

The company operates in two areas: series production and engineering services.

The series production of punching, bending, turning and milling parts as well as welding assemblies is settled under Ahlberg Metalltechnik GmbH (AM).

The engineering services for development, simulation, design and automation as well as tool and fixture construction are grouped under Ahlberg Engineering GmbH (AE), a wholly owned subsidiary of Ahlberg Metalltechnik GmbH.

Mario Ahlberg represents both companies as sole managing directors.

Headquarters Berlin Adlershof

We are loacted at the Technology Park Berlin Adlershof. On approx. 9,000 m2 we design and manufacture our parts, devices and tools - in close proximity to other innovative companies and science and research centers.

Company Culture

For us, entrepreneurial success is inextricably linked to social responsibility. Accordingly, we organise family-friendly working conditions, train young people and employ refugees and the long-term unemployed.

We are a classic medium-sized company: simple structures, flat hierarchies, great flexibility. Our daily actions are based on our guideline "Control is good, trust is better". This, of course, requires good and committed employees who show a high sense of responsibility. That is why we rely on open-ended contracts, individual working time models and waiving temporary workers.

Leisure

We offer our employees numerous leisure activities, e.g. Christmas and summer parties, football tournaments or company runs, thus promoting cohesion among the employees of the two companies and the different departments. In 2018, our company team took 3rd place at the Union Sponsors Cup (football tournament).

Canteen

Our in-house canteen offers our employees daily breakfast and lunch and is used for catering our guests and for special occasions such as company celebrations, anniversaries or birthday celebrations.

Apprentice workshop

We are training young professionals ourselves for many years – especially machining mechanics, tool mechanics and industrial clerks. It is important to us to provide young people with the knowledge they need to carry out their profession well. This way we also ensure to win competent and motivated junior employees for ourselves, thus coping with skills shortage.


The practical part of the training takes place in our apprentice workshop and the apprentices can apply their new knowledge in everyday production right away.

Social commitment

We are sponsor of the neighbouring football club 1. FC Union Berlin, among other things as a jersey supplier of the U16 team.
We also support local associations that are particularly important to our employees.

 

 

 

We are also a founding member of the non-profit association “Türöffner e.V.”, which advocates the entry of refugees into the labour market.   http://tueroeffner-ev.de/
